People use a lot crazy tactics to try to get a job, and some actually work. Brandishing a gun, however, is not one of them.
According to LoHud.com, a man took the term "Job Hunt" a little too literally. He walked into a Taco Bell in Haverstraw, NY on Monday afternoon, pulled out a gun, demanded money, then continued on to the manager's office.
Although the manager did not witness the attempted holdup, he told the suspect no and asked him to leave the restaurant.
The man left -- without the money or the job.

Lol it reminds me of that movie Empire Records where the kid holds up the record store with a gun full of blanks and they give him the job.

I thought if you requested an application that you cannot be denied? He was probably on unemployment and had to make his "3 employment contacts for the week." When I was on unemployment, I had to take classes in job hunting skills, I must have missed the day when they discussed "asking for a job at gun point."

Stupid manager - he should have had him fill out the application right then, including of course name and address...which would have made the arrest quite easy for the police!

I admit that there have been times where I really wanted a job. But I never thought to bring a gun a force them to hire me. And the last place I would force to hire me would be Taco Bell. I think that you would have to put a gun to my head to make me work there. Also the manager should have given him the application I bet the idiot would have put his real name and address down.

The Mgr wasn't stupid- read the article again. It clearly states that the manager did not know about the hold up!!!

Sheez!!! Reminds of the movie JOHN Q movie which was based on a true story .... just goes to show that people are needing jobs and money to pay for their things. It's sad that people have to take desperate measures while the "fat cats" stay rich in health and in money, while the rest of us are wondering if we should pay rent or pay for food. NO ONE should have those crosses to bear!!!
