Everyone has heard by now of a blog. Blog is assumed to be a portmanteau, or blended words, of web, as in the internet, and log, as in a log of activities or a diary. A number of portmanteau appear in the nonsense poem Jabberwocky, written by Lewis Carroll, also famous for writing Alice in Wonderland, and several new words come straight from his poems. The word jabberwocky has come to mean things of nonsense, just as the poem that bears the terms' eponym. Teletrack is another portmanteau; meaning tracked over the phone, as in no teletrack payday loans. A person could use same day payday loans or quick personal loans to start their own blog.
